Toledo, Ohio Area
Roadway Design Engineer
We are seeking a self motivated designer with a good understanding and strong working experience in transportation design requirements (Ohio DOT experience preferred) and detailed plan preparation. A minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in design engineering and plan preparation of major and minor highway and road systems, including complex geometric design, pavement design, maintenance of traffic design, signing and pavement marking, and hydraulic design involved with roadway engineering. Must have strong communication skills (oral and written). Ohio PE (or immediately qualified for Ohio PE through reciprocity) required. Knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation (preferred) and Eaglepoint or Geopak required.
Landfill Engineer
Candidate should be a degreed engineer with experience in landfill design, permitting and construction oversight. This position would include completing landfill permit-to-install applications, construction plan and specification preparation, and construction quality assurance certification. Candidate must have a working knowledge of the OAC regulations. Geotechnical engineering experience a plus, including the preparation of various geotechnical reports.
Senior Bridge/Structures Engineer
MSG is looking for a recognized leader with a minimum of 15 years experience in the design and detailed plan preparation of steel & concrete bridges (reinforced concrete & prestressed concrete), retaining wall design, hydrologic & hydraulic studies involved in bridge design, and strong leadership and communication skills (oral & written). PE required. Desired candidate will be experienced with Design Policies, Standards, and Specifications of MDOT and/or ODOT and have proven project experience as the lead bridge/structures engineer on notable projects. Candidate should be well versed in the use of the AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 318-99 Building Code for Reinforced Concrete and AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges. This position requires knowledge in the use of AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Familiarity with the use of Staad III, Merlin-DASH, MathCAD, HEC-RAS, MS Office products, and other related software a plus.
Civil Site Design Engineer
Candidates must have experience in and be familiar with all aspects of site/civil design including; 3D-grading, utility design, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulic design with associated modeling. Must have experience using drawing software including, Microstation with Geopak and/or AutoCad with Land Desktop and Civil 3D. Experience with other software including HY-8, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Excel, Hydroflow, Flowmaster, Culvertmaster, TR-55 and WaterCAD preferred. EI registration is required.
