TMACOG Regional Transportation Summit

Proud to be an exhibiting partner for the 2018 Transportation Summit, presented by the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG), Friday, March 16, at Premier Banquet Complex, in Toledo. We’re looking forward to learning about local and statewide transportation issues and how to tackle these issues with innovative collaborations. Building a strong multimodal transportation network that incorporates non-motorized users is key to sustainability in our region to keep us competitive.  #TMACOG

GAL-35 Project Stakeholder Meeting

The Ohio Department of Transportation, District 10, along with MSG professionals Steve Bergman, Beth Thornton and Chris Owen hosted a second stakeholder meeting to present conceptual interchange alternatives for the US35/SR735/SR7 Interchange near Gallipolis yesterday. Project challenges include an existing non-traditional interchange resulting from the 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge, an airport adjacent to US35, and a commercial business area near the interchange. A public meeting is expected later this year to share the results of the study.

Composite Solutions for Sustainable Infrastructure

Last week, Owens Corning and MSG hosted a forum on “Composite Solutions for Sustainable Infrastructure” for dozens of construction professionals, engineers and business leaders at Owens Corning’s World Headquarters in Toledo.  MSG’s Travis Rhoades presented on Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer reinforcing design and MSG’s CEO, Rich Bertz (seated second from left in picture), joined a panel of thought leaders to discuss the future of infrastructure innovation.  With any luck, MSG’s design of ODOT’s first GFRP-reinforced concrete bridge deck will be awarded this March.  Stay-tuned! http://compositesmanufacturing...
